Losing Contracts Is Expensive

Every missed tender represents revenue left on the table and hours your team won’t get back.

Find What You’ve Missed

Pick up the gaps, unanswered parts of the question and evidence that feels obvious to you but may never make it onto the evaluator’s score sheet.

Know What to Fix First

See where your time will make the biggest difference, so you can strengthen the parts that could genuinely affect your score rather than rewriting everything at the eleventh hour.

Submit a Bid That’s Easier to Score

Give evaluators a clearer route through your answer, with the evidence, detail and outcomes they need to award the marks available.

How it works

From Your Draft to a Stronger Submission

You keep ownership of the bid. We bring the evaluator perspective, show you what needs attention and give your team a clear route to strengthen it before submission.

01

Send Us Your Draft

Give us the bid you would otherwise submit.

02

We Review It

We go through it from the evaluator’s side of the table, looking at what is actually there to score.

03

We Flag What Matters

You see the gaps, weak spots and places where evidence or detail needs to work harder.

04

You Strengthen It

Your team makes the changes, with clear feedback on what to improve and why.

05

You Submit

You stay in control of the bid, with a stronger final version ready for the evaluator.

You draft. We review. You strengthen it. You submit. The expertise stays with your team, while you get an experienced evaluator view before the bid goes in.

A Bid Can Read Well and Still Leave Marks Behind

This is the kind of detail we challenge in a red review. We look at what each word and line is actually telling the evaluator, then flag where the evidence, specificity or explanation needs to work harder.

Example tender response Bidsmithery red review
Tender question

Explain how you will maintain a competent and suitably trained workforce throughout the contract.

Draft response

We provide regular staff training1 to ensure all employees maintain high standards2 throughout the contract.

Training is delivered by experienced members of the team3 and covers all relevant operational requirements.

Staff performance is reviewed on an ongoing basis4, with additional support provided where required.

We also monitor service quality through internal audits and management oversight5 to ensure standards are maintained throughout delivery.

There may already be plenty of substance behind this answer. What is missing from the page is frequency, ownership, measures, evidence and a clear process when standards are not met.

Red review comments
1 Make “regular” measurable

How often does training take place? Is there a set programme, refresher cycle or minimum frequency?

2 Define the standard

What does “high standards” mean here? Is competence measured against an internal framework, contract requirement, professional standard or KPI?

3 Show who delivers the training

Is it delivered in-house or externally? Is any of it accredited? What experience, qualification or authority does the trainer have?

4 Explain how competence is checked

Who reviews performance, how often and against what criteria? What happens if somebody does not meet the required standard?

5 Bring in the evidence

If you have audit results, training completion rates, competence records, quality scores or another measurable result, this is where they can earn their place.

The expertise is often already sitting inside your business. We go through the bid line by line to make sure the words on the page are earning their crust.

MEET MELISSA

Small Gaps Can Cost Big Marks

With 15+ years in bids, including experience assessing submissions, Melissa knows how easily strong businesses can lose marks simply because the evaluator can’t see what they need to see.

That evaluator perspective sits behind every Bidsmithery review, helping teams spot the gaps they’re too close to see before the bid goes in.

We won’t guarantee you’ll win. We will help you submit the strongest bid your team can put forward.
